for a painter ,to paint my Fascia-boards and garage -door over a couple of days , i cant be arsed ,and theres a couple of lads doing this for a few others around here ?:hurray:

I'd be arsed for that and I hate the smell of paint!

Price seems fair enough Dave, but it all depends on how good the job is as we know. If it starts peeling next winter then your stuffed and wasted your money, you know its in the prep.

upvc facia boards dave? I don't even think they are supposed to be painted was watching a programme before and someone had painted onto upvc and it was pealing, maybe ask them if they can do you guttering too if you have wooden facias then see what they say about any special paint that needs using.

They are wood T i'am not a donkey !!! lol, but i also could replace with UPVC as another low maintaining way foward

Why would he want them painted if they were made out of a material not suitable for painting :smilewinkgrin:

replace mate unless asbestos soffits that will cost a fortune to remove, me and my mate do a few of these quite easy compared with tiling buddy with scafolding basicly rip off and nail the upvc ones on with poly pins the soffit fits into the groove of the facia then put your gutter up with aid of a chalk line to get the fall, peice of cake

we charged 2x men 2x days to do the whole house including garage
