What Comes First, Floor Or Bottom Row Wall?

Always walls first for me, why would you tile floor first then work all over it unless you need to line wall and floor joints up? Even then I usually set the floor out and mark it out and mark onto the walls, can then tile the walls first and lign it up

Always work from the top down. ..less risk of any damage to your work....if your meticulous with your setting out then it shouldn't be an issue even if your lining up the joints.

I find it is normally messy workers who tile walls first.....
I do the floors first as I like to leave a movement joint around the perimeter which can be hidden by the wall tile.
yes I know I could do walls first and baton of the first full row but it's not what I do

I batten off first course, tile walls then floor then bottom course. I've been told I'm a messy worker but don't think I'm that bad😉

No hard and fast rule for me really, every situation dealt with on its merits and sometimes depending on materials being used.
If they're extremely delicate, may not do floor until last.

I suppose if your an amateur then floor first to make sure the walls line up ...fully understandable !!....lol
So if your painting a room would you paint the walls first then the ceiling?
