Wetroom wall waterproofing

Just want to correct you on a couple of points Wetdec. Kaskade/NoMorePly actually produce "vinyl" trays as do "Showerstone" a.k.a. Marmox.

New players to the Market - Wickes - wetroom tray looks unecessarily complicated. Also "Roman" the shower screen people have brought out a solid former - looks very impressive - 4 sizes.

There is nothing complicated about fixing a trap to a tray, Dallmer supply 90% of the market - for Schluter, Wedi, Kaskade, Impey, Marmox and many many more.

There are many products out there, I could sell - in making my descision what I sell, I look for ease of installation, robust quality product that is capable of handling high point loading (such as a wheelchair), and reasonable price.

Not sure what it is your correcting me on there am I missing something or you just getting a free plug 😳

As you have brought it up I'll put a little comparison together for you and those who are interested..............

If you are selling foam cored formers for vinyl installs then that is your affair. Nothing has yet convinced us they are suitable for vinyl and if we had confidence in these boards for tiled wet room builds we would be recomending them.

Currently supplying one of the largest Electrical chains in UK with Kaskade Vinyl trays for Showers for staff. Have to be suitable for wheelchair access.

Year before 330 for student accomodation in Sheffield

Whether you have tested them or not is of no interest to me. As long as they work well, install easily and give value for money is my only concern.

I have not jumped on the bandwagon recently I installed my first wetrooms using Schluter in 1992 or 93'. I cannot remember exactly when. Still in use today in a busy gymnasium.

The main point I would make is I know what I am talking about, I am not interested in getting into a "flaming" war with you. I would never be so unprofessional as to speak disparagingly of a competitors product.
