these trays do have markings, but it's the same process with any wet room former.
i cut all the tiles first, then mark the envelope cuts. ( these need to be cut with a wet saw for accuracy and to create the 3mm gap for grouting).

Novellini do them in most sizes and differ t placement of the drain, you can also tile the inside of the drain if you wish.
Saves having to wet cut the envelope and works well with any size of tile.

Yeah basically and centre your grout line along the centre if the length of the drain.
Used to always envelope but push these to client everytime now, much less hassle and quicker.
I remember using one a few years back where the drain was right against the wall, I want to keen on that idea though as there wasn't a good seal where the wall tile came down on top

That's a far better idea, I wasn't sure how the linear drain worked, far easier to tile as well..

I think I pay around £350 for the tray, gulley, drain.
Which is ridiculous when you consider what they are made up of, but they aren't as common place yet so I expect they will come down in time
