Just thought that i would share this wet room preparation with you.
Turned up to tile this wet room prepared by the builder. The wedi tray seems to have been stuck down:hurray:.
The remainder of the floor is covered with 6mm Wedi board:furious3:
Its loose laid,no adhesive:furious3: Its NAILED....yes , IT IS NAILED:furious3:
All joints have been sealed with what looks like 'Sticks like ****' or similar rubberised solution. The problem with this ,is that this stuff has been smeared onto the board in various places, which is going to cause an adhesion problem as the floor finish is 50mm tiles:furious3:
Wall panels have no battening on the cross joints so panels are flexing:furious3:
The building is a 'Frameform' structure which means that studwork is at 600mm centres..board is 10mm:furious3:
Builer reckons he has succesfully fitted out a number of wet rooms in this way !!
Owner has agreed that we should at least screw and washer the 6mm floor board and tape all joints.:hurray: :hurray: :hurray:
