Hi Guys

I just about to put some Floor/Wall tiles on to the Wall (Wall is Aqua Board) these tiles are 600x300 ceramic. What size notch trowel would I need?

Regards
Simon.

If the walls are pretty flat I would use a 8mm, if not go up to 10mm.Try the 8mm, then pull a tile off the wall and see what kind of coverage you have on the back. For the floor you will want a half moon trowel and you will need to back butter the back of the tiles with the flat edge of the trowel before pressing them down into the adhesive. What is the floor made up of?

As above, 8/10mm. I always use a 10 with that size tile as it can be really useful when the wall don't go where you want them to!

Thanks guys. I done the floor. I think it was a 12mm? Not sure now label peeled off....
I butterbacked the tiles before laying them on the floor, do I need to butterback the tiles for the wall too?

Not too keen about removing a tile to see if i have enough coverage... lol. Takes me ages just to put it on!!!! Plus snapped 2 tiles when I tried to take them off of the floor because it wasn't right!

Thanks anyway

No you shouldn't need to on the walls, its not a bad idea in wet areas but its the floor that needs it as it is going to have foot traffic.
