Hi all

I'd recently been asking about the dewalt d2400 and montolit wet saws. I'd still like something like this in the future but funds aren't going to stretch that far currently...

A table top bench cutter is going to be better for my needs
What are these like?
1.Vitrex - QEP Pro-750 Wet Saw
2. Norton Clipper TT200EM

They are both about the same price, cheapest I've seen is the Vitrex at £100 and the Norton at £104 - £130 before Vat.

Do you they both have a professional trade warranty?
The Norton is a slighlty larger blade and motor size (200mm and 800w)

many thanks

Can't comment on the Vitrex but I have the Norton and can't fault it
Don't forget you get 2 blades with the Norton so this will more than make up for any slight price difference between it and the Vitrex...

I have the Norton too, only fault I can find with it is that the guide rules are out of line by about 2mm on mine but once you know you can compensate for it. It has cut everything I have thrown at it so far. Great value for money IMO.

And the Vitrex i believe is a copy of the well known and praised Plasplugs cutter. I have the Plasplugs version and cant fault it for what it does.

Unfortuantly it seems it comes with just a single blade now according to the main norton clipper eu website.

I've asked for a couple of quotes off trade tiller so I'll have to wait and see what the best prices are.

Can't speak for the Norton, but the Vitrex/Plasplugs is a very capable wetsaw for the price brand once you put an uprated blade on it (I'd imagine you'd need to do the same for the Norton?).

Minimum water spray from the Vitrex, so suitable for use indoors.

I have just bought the Pro 750 you can spin the mount on the arber to take 16mm and 22.2 mm blades.
I binned the blade that came with it and stuck on a marcrist, Now I'm not a tiler (Kitchen fitter)Boo hiss!
I have only used it this week for the first time seems ok, managed to do everything I asked of it.

i have the norton and cant complain they are still doing the one with 2 blades on the well known auction site

Hi,

I was looking at the Vitrex 750 and the Rubi 180. I'm about to purchase some 12mm travertine in both 400 x 400 and 400 x 600. Will both of these cut these size tiles?
