Hi again,

just about to move on to the tiling using Keraquick. Just noticed in the info sheet that it recommends using it with Latex for UFH. As I have UFH in the SLC below would I need to do this? Was hoping water was OK here. I have used the latex where I put the marmox over chipboard (plus screwed it down) but used water else where. What would be advice from you guys? I don't really want to spend more on the latex unless really necessary,
Thanks,

Roland

Keraquick is an S1 adhesive, so adding latex plus makes it S2. Only S1 is required for UFH, but it wouldnt harm at all if you did make it S2...... just makes it highly deformable. Depends how happy you are with the deflection (bounce) in the floor. Is it 150w heating?

In short, no it is not required

Thanks Blocko, that's good news!

Most of the substrate is concrete so I'll use it with water there. I have enough Latex left to use that over the chipboard area so as belt and braces I'll do that. Yes it is 150w/M2 heating.

Cheers,

Roland

Hi Rich, good to hear from you and hope all is well. Yeah guys on here really helpful as usual. Making good progress and invested in some redback knee pads so still able to walk! Couldn't do it for a living though!

Cheers, Roland

Only a special few can Roland, and most tilers I've met are very special (I include myself in that).

I know Tabby Cranks, you are all truly gifted and special people!!
Every day I say a thank you to St. Ceramica, the patron saint of tilers!
