I'm quoting to fix trav in a wetroom over UFH. Would you agree with this spec?
10mm Marmox, glued n screwed to t & g floorboards
UFH cable
Latex SLC
Tile
I generally use Weber Floor Flex and Mapei Keraquick.

Or would you add an uncoupling membrane under the tiles as well?
Ta.

heat passes through de-coupler no problem, it has no thermal properties. Personally I'm rather sceptical about de-couplers now as all (Ditra aside) seemed to have created more problems than what they were designed to solve.

That surprises me a little, but i can think of a scenario where it might need to. Would you use it here? Or is it necessary? This has got me puzzled a little. I am feeling pretty exhausted at the minute though, could just be having one of me turns.

Dont worry, I'll be tanking it. I understand your concerns re membranes (Ditra aside). So do you think there will be sufficient movement allowance with the selected materials thereby making an uncoupler an unnecessary extra?

It is a recomendation of the British standard that natural stone is uncoupled from heated screed. Whilst not explicit I assume it means all screeds including thin screeds such as a levelling compound.

That'll do for me. Thanks all.

Ajax is bang on there, but here's another idea....
If you were thinking of using an uncoupling membrane in the wet room, it may be worth looking at Schluter Ditra Drain..
Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN - Schlüter-Systems
This is really clever stuff as any water that may pass through the adhesive, passes through the mat and is drained away to the wetroom drain, so you have no standing water under the tiles.
