Hi hope you can advise I have installed a shower over the bath and have the two channels that the pipes sit in open. I want to start tiling in the morning so can I tile over these with the tiles 25 x 33 set so the channel is central or do I need to plaster them up. I have heard I will have to wait 4 weeks if I plaster up.
Thanks
Mike

Didn't know you could do Doug that was just going to suggest overboarding I live and learn:hurray:

overboarding would be preferable MRW, just don't know if he has room down the back of the taps to overboard and then tile:thumbsup:

If the holes arny to wide or deep, just fill them in with a rapid setting tile adehsive a couple of hours before you tile. If they are a bit wide or deep for that Id mix up some sand and cement and fill them in. Either way be sure not to mix it up to thin or it will sag and youl end up with a lump in the wall to deal with.

Thanks for the quick replys will get some flexible rapid set in the morning, and duct tape
One thing just came to mind how easy does therapid set stick to the duct tape and is bal okay to use can get that easily
Thanks
Mike

Bals fine and the addy will key into the sides of your channel so you won't have any probs

what are your cannel chased into? I'm assuming masonry, if thats the case it'll be fine. The duct tape is to stop any corrosive reaction between the adhesive and the copper pipe. Bal is v. expensive, mapei kerauick is cheaper and just as good:thumbsup:
