Terracotta tiles

Has anyone any experience with new terracotta tiles (tomettes)? i have laid a new floor and impregnted them with a mix of linseed oil and turpentine. I wondered how long I should leave them before waxing. Any ideas? The quicker the better as I need to use the floor as it takes me from the kitchen to the dining room!

4 coats of 50/50 oil and turps. Won't take any more oil now so guess it is saturated.

Sound... i would grout now and then when grouted/cleaned off and dry.. then wax..

As Pete say's.. i assumed you removed excess oil residue that had not soaked in...

4 coats unless they are mex carillo then oil wont do anything but soak through but haven't seen them for years no good using oil on them
