not used myself yet but Ive heard the genesis g mat is very good any one used it
same as Deano, using it next week, half the price at the moment which JUST swayed the customer! (and this one has a Ferrari parked in the garage and he was wingeing about the cost)

Can you let us know how you get on with it, please?

Used Ditra for years and swore by it. Recently tried g mat and really liked it too, makes uncoupling more affordable and i find the holes easier to fill with sticky

Got a job to sort out for a builder on a Natural stone floor that has cracked due to screed cracking, i didn't lay this floor just been asked repair this area. So if your thinking about having under floor heating, on a new screed floor, i would advise using a uncoupling membrane. I know it puts extra cost on the job!! If you don't check out my web site and give me a ring in 6 months and i will come and repair it!!

Hi Enduro,

Must be the season for it! Just spent 2 weeks repairing a floor, exactly the same scenario as yours, got loads of pics, will post them up soon, what I did was remove the tiles, ground out 5mm screed, laid in dural matting over the cracked subfloor and relaid tile over, in a "cost saving attempt" for the builder :incazzato:. Absolute nightmare of a job , started off as 9 tiles, ended up being 50 odd, and still cracks appearing in other areas. Not tiled by me originally I hasten to add. I can see it being all ripped up again in 6 months when the u/fl heating goes back on. In my opinion NEVER EVER lay stone on u/fl heated screeds without decoupler, it's a disaster waiting to happen.
