Good morning all

I’m an electrician by trade (retired but working harder now than ever) and I’m fitting out a new en suite at my own place

I’m fitting the shower tray which is on a raised timber upstanding, it’s made out of 6 x 2 with 18mm ply top and bedded on sand and cement so solid but on the timber first floor so inevitably there will be a bit of movement

Re fixing the shower tray to the wall what are you guys seeing/doing these days, is it more common now to use a tile upstanding that sticks on to the tray (like the aquastrap or Mira kit) or just bang a load of ct1/ob1 down the back squeeze it to the wall? (Walls are hardi backer with aquaseal tanking membrane)

Cheers

Martin
