got a 30m floor to level, only ever done small floors, used a flat trowel.
Ordered a spike roller from Ctd and the pole.
Is this the best way to go,pour out and roll it out or am I better to get a large level and drag over surface.
It's the old adhesive still on floor as customer saying its a nightmare to get up, and they'd rather I just self level it.

Mark out your floor, high low spots.
I will fling about 6 pours (sometimes more) onto the floor then use the spike roller to even out the separate pours.
I only ever use a spike roller, nothing else, but I also use a good leveller, ie Mapei or TileMaster.
What leveller are you using?

I normally use sumat to peg out the depth the leveling is needed use screws every 200mm or there abouts leveling the them to the highest point in the floor u can use a good ol sprit level or a laser and detector if u have one in ur arsenal this method gives perfect results every time if done correctly 20160401_120739.jpg 20160401_121218.jpg 20160401_142438.jpg 20160401_160226.jpg 20160401_120739.jpg 20160401_121218.jpg 20160401_142438.jpg 20160401_160226.jpg

Forgive the floor I had no say in the boarding it's a cheap job in a renter in and out jobbie so backer board or cement board is nowhere to be seen lol but u can get the idea of the method I use

Depends if you want it level or flat, for level you've 'got' to find your highest point and work off that...laser and a staff best if you got one, flat id just use a 6ft straight edge myself :)

Did a 80m2 floor in one hit a few weeks ago. Used levelpins, laser and staff with steel rule grade the floor. Also used rocatex fibreflow which is hands down the best slc I've ever used. A plasterers' speed skim is a handy tool too.
