Self levelling advice please.

Before i self level bathroom floor just wanted to ask a few last minute questions...is it ok to split areas up, do i have to wait for each section to dry before doing the next...lowest pint is at doorway to bathroom? was going to divide the room into 3 sections...can i use sand as a barrier?

also do i need to leave an expansion joint around the room?

no need for expansion joint ,use a piece of 2x2 or something to stop it running.Why dont you just do it all at once instead of sections?Surely its not a massive room.

bout 9 metre squared...finding it hard to imagine what the stuff is like...i'm going to have to start at the highest point and work my way to the door otherwise i'll be stuck in the screed!! do i just keep on pouring the stuff...how will i know if i've reached the right thickness/level? do i need level battens to work to like in a sand/cement screed?

put a mark on the wall to a level that you want it to go up to and pour the leveller until you reach that height ....it should be the highest point....dont worry about it its easy.Just follow the instructions.You are over complecating things..you will be fine and wonder tomorrow night what all the fuss was about.

just make sure the leveller you use can go up to that level without adding sand.

mapei do a few that go upto 30mm and 45mm i think it is.(fibreplan)

Just did 30 mts in one hit today, 'Daves', mapei Fibreplan, thought I would have to batten a section off but just went for it. Looked OK, hopefully get some tiles down tomorrow

my mistake ,the fiberplan does between 3-10mm and the Ultraplan maxi does 3-30mm sorry for the mistake.😳
