Hi guys.

As title says. What methods do you use to seal the shower outlet pipe feeds that come out the wall?

Got two copper pipes coming out at 150 centers for my mira erd shower. Pipes are in a stud wall, lined with jackoboard. Its not tiled in that area yet.

I have seen gaskets but cant find any local without ordering online.

Hey pal. Iv got self adhesive tanking/joint tape. So would probably have to go the silicone route. If i am honest i would not have thought normal silicone would stand up to the temperature of the hot feed. Didnt think it would be that simple!

CT1 silicone is stable from -40 to +150 degrees so wouldn't think they'll be a problem with temperatures..

As @Andystiletiling says before tiling, and a few photos to show what to do after tiling.

I dunno i think they would be onto something with mint silicone. You know.. the amount you get on your fingers and all that. Wouldnt go to waste then!

No plugs, I always have timber behind the substrate to screw into.
