Hi There !
New to this forum and need advice on bits and bobs.
I'm about to tile my bathroom with travertine and will be tiling onto GTEC aquaboard and moisture resistant plaster board.
The aquaboard is instastiked (foam adhesive) onto plasterboard that is screwed onto my stud wall as is the moisture resistant board.
I know lafarge do a sealer for the joints but have yet to find a supplier and was wandering if I could use anything else.

you shouldn't need to seal plasterboard (check with adhesive manufacture) but will have to use admix or spf on the moisture resistant plasterboard better with ordinary plasterboard in imo

It's not so much the board surface as the joints I was thinking about as water could enter these and reach the plasterboard underneath. Would tile adhesive (keraquick) be sufficient to seal these ?
Also, whats the best method so seal cut edges in the plasterboard for pipes/ shower etc ?

I see that... It's just you read about tanking, sealing joints etc when I would have thought, at most, you should only get a little dampness, not free water, getting through the grout or tile if the stone sealer lets through .
Thanks for your reply anyway.
