Hi, Has anyone used either the Rubi TR600 or the TX700, are there any good / cheaper alternatives.

never used thase ones but have a ts40 plus bought from buybranded tools very good for large tiles and a star 40 for small ceramic wall tiles rubi cutters cant be faulted they r the mercedes benz of cutters in my eyes

Got a tx700n after hearing how good they are from Dave. Fantastic cutter, eats porcelains with np at all. Not sure of a cheaper alternative but remember the Rubi is that price because of what it is, a well made piece of kit.

I have the tr600s, I was going for the smaller one but when I looked at some of the tiles I had already fitted - I decided to go for the tr600, Very good but a small montolit will be next buy - onceI can get a jobthat isn't cancelled

Hi frog eye, Do you think the TR600 cuts 600mm tiles well or does it struggle a bit.

TX700n it's a beauty I paid £270 for mine don't know about a cheaper alternative

Hi John
I have to honest I haven't tried anything as big as a 600 tile.
Biggest was a 400 odd and I was worried about diagonal cuts on what I had already done.
I went for a compromise
The monty lost it for me on the footprint - no way it would fit in my little polo, but as I think I said elsewhere, for repetative cuts on my course I looked to the montolit, but as a newbie I opted for the 'see the cut' Rubi
Sorry I can't be of more help
