First post be gentle, I'm an enuthiastic diyer and I've recently bought off ebay a barely used DW250-N which looks to be in good nic but needs a new blade. The item didn'y come with a manual so I'm unsure of how much water to use and exactly where to put it (sorry if thats a dumb question).

I assume you just fill the small chamber by the pump intake but as soon as its taken the top 10/15% barely any water comes up to the blade. At this stage I'm just experimenting while the new blade is on its way but I don't want to mess up the new one when it comes because of using it wrong.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rhinoman, your cutter will need about 40lts of water. fill the main area until you have covered the pump intake. You will notice that there is a plug at the far end of the water bed, this is for emptying when finished.

Aprt from that it it is straight forward.

And a little tip when finished cutting with it for the day.....put the pump into a bucket of clean water to clean the pump and pipes out.....it will stop them clogging up from the dirty water.........

Wow,

What a fantastic forum, 2 responses on a bank holiday weeken within 15 minutes, thanks very much chaps, I'll go get more water then.

Bank holidays are when we end up having to work at home ...🙄

Filled the rubi up with water, works much better now, even the old blade doesn't seem to cut too badly so plenty to get on with, thanks again guys.
