Hey,
I just found a house built in the '60s, thinking of buying that. The landlord has a detailed history of that place. From what I know, it has had many unconventional remodel solutions. It had knob and tube wiring which was replaced with THHN. But they have routed it through the old wiring, so it has spliced wires with no boxes. Wherefore I am calling an electrical repair service to rewire the entire house. Isn't that the best remedy that I can do at this point? Or should I, at a minimum, remake the splices with wire nuts inside a box, and when the THHN runs are parallel, replace them with ROMEX. But that would add more junction boxes. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
