Diamond Pool Finishers

Just waiting to start a big pool renovation at a school, the first job is to remove the old tiles, they have been on since the 1970's, and we want to do it carefully so we don't damage the substrate to much , we will be using breakers, do you guys have any recommendations ? for tools to fit in the machine ? that would be especially good for this?
:hurray:

Perhaps use a wide spade attachment rather than thin one to avoid digging in to the background....

I have a great hilti one that I was thinking of buying another one its wide and thin but its bolted to the main body chisel shaft and the bolts come loose, iwas just thinking you guys might know of a better bit of kit. ?

Yes lizard the first one is the one I already have mate, but with vibration the bolts come loose

in that case on the way to work stop in a workshop or garage and ask if they got a bit of locktite treadlocker the high strenght one. it tgat will work get yourself another one and tybe of locktite

Ok guys I will try the locktight thanks, I think the hilti must be the best on the market at the moment.

Are the tiles laid in sand and cement or stuck in adhesive, if its adhesive that wide one wont work, try a blow torch tiles will blow off the wall without damaging the back round.

Thanks diving, great tip with the blow torch mate this make perfect sense, expantion and all that, I would say 1970 pool would be sand and cement, but you never know.
