Recommend Me A Tile Saw?

I'll need one for cutting lengthways (44") down a some monster porcelanosa tiles so I thought with a decent cutting disk and some assistance I'd be able to follow a line. Any recommendations as I don't want to end up buying crap.

You could really do with a bench/rail saw for tiles that are a metre lond, I can't help but think you'd struggle to follow a line on a small cutter like that. If it were me, I'd have a manual cutter that will do tiles that length, then get a grinder with a quality blade for any L cuts etc.

Well I could extend the guide rail to help, I've only had a quick look but a large enough rail saw seems to be beyond my budget.

I have a circular saw and guide, couldn't I get a dry cutting disk for it? The problem I foresee with a large enough manual cutter is the tile is almost 3D and heavily and deeply patterned. I think I'd poop myself trying to score and crack a 1 metre long £25 tile.

If this is a one off job, Mark as many cuts as u can and hire a rail saw for a day or two. No point spending money on something that's not totally suitable and winging it.

Good point actually, just hire one! What are we thinking?!

Loads. They rarely do small ones because people just tend to buy them.

What hire shops do you have near you?

HSS around my way hires them out.
