I had an interesting morning today, doing something I've wanted to do for ages and that is to get down into the river network that runs under the City. The local river trust are wanting to open up a few culverts and create green spaces within the City. We walked for about an hour under ground, then an hour back. Bit of crawling and stooping but interesting ! Hard to get good photos, here's a few.IMG_20190721_114526.jpgIMG_20190721_103704.jpgIMG_20190721_110902.jpgIMG_20190721_110434.jpgIMG_20190721_103514.jpgIMG_20190721_103519.jpgIMG_20190721_100905.jpgIMG_20190721_110313.jpgIMG_20190721_110423.jpgIMG_20190721_103010.jpgIMG_20190721_102615.jpgIMG_20190721_103002.jpgIMG_20190721_105519.jpgIMG_20190721_105539.jpg

Yes I bet everyone was stood up with room to spare

Cheers John, some of the brick work down there was fantastic, there was some curved walls, built god knows when by men that were illiterate.
There was one section that was about a 10 Min stretch at the arch was about less than 5ft high, killer for me. It tappered down to crawling hight at the end

Hmmm, I wonder if it’s....

Me and @Lou took my daughter there a couple of years ago. They have a pub that they moved from Stoke on Trent, brick by brick. Another pub next to it in Stoke is next to the new council offices and locals got it grade listed so they couldn't knock that one down too.
