Needing to put in a price for a 9m2 kitchen floor and 9m2 bathroom floor but have got a couple of "thats expensive" recently so thought id put it out to the fourm.

Ply is layed and sound so im thinking of £470 inc materials and tax the lot and recon 2.5 days all in.

4 addy
2 grout

What do you think?

It's always difficult to give advice on pricing as there are so many variables that a fixed yardage figure cannot incorporate.
You go with what you are comfortable with to get the job, complete it within the time allowed, and get at least a wage out of it.

I always do a m2 price then work out how many days it will take, what i'm comfortable earning per day and compare them. I think your price sounds fair, unfortunately there are a minority of people at the moment who are looking for cheap work rather than quality work

Yeah maybe if id went with m2 rate of £25x18 + mats of around 90 then that would = 540. would leave me 450 after tax and 360 after mats,

would that be right??

It really does depend on a few things..... what type of tile/stone, what area, and what you are comfortable working for. You also have think about what you are doing it for. Are you doing it to run and build a business, or are you just trying to make a wage. For me it seems on the cheep side, but as i said there are a lot of variables.

What area of Scotland are you from?
