Hi, some of the tiles in the kitchen, landing and bathrooms have grout that that loosened and fallen out and tiles are popping in various places. Mostly where the underfloor heating pipes are. Under tile is concrete.

We ripped some of the tiles out and re laid again. However the issue is still happening.
Is there any suggestion to fix without ripping more tiles out? Or can anyone help?. I am based in Essex.
Thanks

Could be a couple of things, Flexible adhesive wasn't used to fix the tiles and can't handle with the expanding and contracting when the pipes heat up. Or you've got a hot spot where flow pipes could be, or the ufh is running to hot.

@JulianSidney is based in Essex and knows his UFH, he maybe able to help.

Here we go again folks.....

Firstly, you need to describe your previous instalment procedure so we can begin to try and understand as to why this has happened. It could be several factors.

Start at the beginning with the screed/UFH/tiles/adhesive etc so you can build us a picture of what has been done.

Photos are a massive help.

hi Gary
how long was the screed down before ufh was commissioned?
was it sand and cement?
was a uncoupling membrane use?
do you now what adhesive was used?
tile material and size?
what temperature are you running the floor at?

sorry lots of questions, just so we can get an idea of what's happened

Did you leave ufh when you repaired or did you just leave it running or turn it back on too quickly and too fast
