Plastic mixing paddles

Does anyone know where i can get plastic mixing paddles for mixing grout? i had one ages ago that a painter left behind but i cant see them for sale anywhere. theres wooden ones around but its plastic im after. i dont know about you lot but mixing with a margin trowel sends me potty, they always seem to scrape plastic off the walls of the bucket this ruining the grout!!:mad2:

hiya mate i use a mixing trowel and bucket trowel from the plastering side...the edges are rounded. b and q and screwfix sell them i think they are about 7 quid each but are good quality and dont scrape your bucket

Alright m8 get a painters mixer out of screw fix for £3 its metal though thats what i use put it into the cordless and its done great tool you cant beat it for mixing grout.

sorry for confusion. yeah its a paint stirrer for some reason ive always known them as paddles. anyhoo, ive often seen wooden ones but not plastic ones. where are they hiding?? lol

I cant say that in my 33 years in the trade that i have had the problem with the buckets. A margin trowel or bucket trowel for me anyday...surely a plastic paddle/stirer would bend ?

on a bucket trowel, why not "round" the corners off on a bench grinder?
