Hi Guys,

What would you al recommend for cleaning up and bringing back red quarries to as good as then can be?

these are the original quarries laid on the kitchen floor, from when it was built!
The grout is now murky dark browny black patchy looking!!
Customer does not want them lifting and relaying, just cleaning up, cant even rake the grout out.
Need to retain the old look, so he wont allow me to clean out and re grout, said it would not look right!!
Doesn't look like they have ever been sealed or had any colour enhancer on them.
Might not be able to use solvent based cleaners due to chest condition of the customers daughter!

i would need an aggressive cleaner for the grout, but it must not damage or stain the quarries.
Everything has to be done by hand, so now mechanical tools allowed to clean them up!!

any ideas or recomends??

We have lithofin wexa, this is a solvent based alkali , this is what I use to deep clean quarrys . If you want a water based product test lithofin power clean or something similar ((others avalible .)

If the floor has an old shine product on you will need to strip this back with a suitable stripper

For the clean only ;Dilute your product around 1-3
Test 1-2 tiles in a descreet area to determine suitability
Apply with stiff brush-or and white pad - leave 10-12 minutes, scrubbing every min
Rinse and rinse again
Re-apply if required
Leave 4-5 days or until fully dry
Impregnate with a suitable impregnator ( we have kf stain stop for a Matt finish)
