Hi, Two weeks ago, I spilled a bottle of olive oil on the patio terracotta tiles. How do I clean it up . It looks awful. Thank you.

was the terracotta sealed , if not i dont think there will be much chance of removing the oil as it will have soaked into the tile imo

maybe one of the other members can offer some more advise , good luck

You could also try using LTP products for this.

LTP spot stain remover and LTP fullers earth, these are designed for grease stains etc.

Tile giant will be able to get these or might even have them in stock..

I didnt see that...Then take alook at the Aqua Mix products. You can get them in Australia.

Hi Rosaia, 🙂 you can try pouring neat biological washing powder onto it - be generous - and just leave there for a few days - if you are in Australia and it's hot and dry, dampen the tile slightly before you pour the powder on, maybe mist everynow and then and cover with plastic, if rain is expected cover the powder with a cloth weighted at the corners and let the water and detergent work their magic. It works with petrol stains on the drive, so your chances are reasonable. Let us know how you get on?
