other than the purpose made non slip tiles are there any others that offer good non slip factors ie porcelein or similar

I use a porcelain tile regularly that has a sort of slate effect texture to it and is pretty much non slip, made my monoceram and comes in many shades. you can also buy a non slip solution to roller on to tiles but is expensive.

nothings non slip,we used a tile 144cms wide by 100cms in lengh with a bal non slip sealant, you can wait for it to dry ,

I'll find out for you matty, one of the tile shops i use in glasgow, cosmos ceramics has one of the largest show rooms in uk and stocks everthing! I'll be back down there this week, i used this gear on a cosmetic dentists surgery floor where the tile was a black shiny item with silver flecks through it but really smooth. he was worried that clients would slip on it! Ok if they knocked their teeth out though:shades_smile:

There's the likes of quarry tiles and slates and things that are rough enough to be classed as anti-slip (which is the phrase I think we should use rather than non-slip). Then there are your glazed anti-slips, these should be denoted as anti-slip in the tile store but if not grap an assitant and ask them and they should be able to sort you out.

I'd generally stear clear of getting a slippy tile and then using a liquid to make it non slippy personally. If the customer wants that, then tile the floor and give them the bottle of stuff.

Hope this helps.
