prefer to angle grind it but if i have to(forgot the angle grinder) then its plunge cut on the wet saw

Yea either way but don't forget the goggles with the grinder.Depending on the size of the cutout its sometimes easier to cut the diagonals as well.

i think its settled an angle grinder seems to be the most popular choice and id have to agree

There's always 1!

If it's ceramic I have used those Bosch multi job drills. B&Q sell them for around £6.50 a set. Use the smallest one and drill a series of holes in a square so as to leave plenty of tile around the hole. If it's porcelain, then you have the option of plunge cutting, angle grinding or those 365 drills scoring tool and a nibbler.

I don't like angle grinders, though I have used them when it is the only practical option, but that's just me.

Have also used the makita 12v tile cutter, prefer the grinder as the makita has little torque

definately plunge it, remember to turn the cutter away from you so you dont get covered in ****

dont forget tho that you will have to take the saftey guard off your wet cutter and are probably goin to get soaked, i'd go with the grinder with the goggles...
