ok so if I use the insulation boards do I still need the ditramat aswell or is that going a bit OTT?

NO..

Ditra is for lateral expansion.. not insulation.

Working up from the screed :

1. Insulation boards.
2. UFH heating mats.
3. Fibre Reinforced Self levelling compound
4. Ditra matting.
5. Tiles.
6. Pub
