Mike..
Hi,
I'm an occassional DIY tiler and about to tile my bathroom. It has been suggested to me that plastic trim is naff and I should mitre the edges of the tiles round the window reveal instead. I can do this with my diamond saw. The tiles are 45cm x 33cm.
My question is, 'Is this a sensible thing to do?' I can see that if it is done accurately enough then it will look good, but I'm not sure just how hard it will be to get that degree of accuracy. Also, are there any other pitfalls I should be aware of? Are the mitred edges very fragile? Should I still use plastic strip on the window sill edge as this is more vulnerable?
Any advice will be very much appreciated!
