Customer has asked to re-tile a shower cubicle with Metros, just thinking about the bevel effect on them and how you get the shower cubicle to flush seal up against them?

Anyone ever fitting them in a shower cubicle?

Cheers

dont bother with ins and out of the metro tile you will have a huge problem trying to seal a shower door no matter what you try to do it wont look right and the water will hang on the tiles and will be a nightmare to try to keep clean

If that's what the customer wants, that's what I will fix!!! The bevel is a couple of mm, so by the time the frame is fixed and siliconed it is fine. Fitted them before with a absolutely zero problems.

no problem just use plenty silicone on fixing and always seal from the out side read makers instructions

Yep done it before although they were 20x10 metros. Got be careful to make sure the bead of silicon behind the wall channels are fixed with out gaps and also sealing outside the channels I used masking tape not my finishing tool. All done in clear silicon.

Im with Ray on this one!

only because if you use his porcelthin tiles, you can do the whole shower in 2 tiles instead od 200 !

Bead of silicone on the wall or profile before fixing and away you go! Isn't there always a gap to fill on all tiles\grout lines (obviously more with any bevel edge tiles), no such issues with porcelthin though!

Also not a problem, done these several times. Make sure a good bead of 785 behind the channel.
