I've changed Branty's User Title to read "BAL PST & Ex Pro Tiler". Perhaps this was my fault for not doing so sooner.

If anybody would like to change their user title you'll find the options in your control panel. If it's not there send Dave or I a Private Message and we'll change the user title for you.

Cheers

Back to the thread now then.

Mapei v Bal fastflex?

i get the 20 kg keraquik grey + latex for £35 and the white for £38 and its every bit as good if not better than the fastflex .. imo!! and the granfix ultra flex is good too

The thing is you can't compare like for like. If I have this right, and I'm sure a Mapei rep will correct me. Kerraquik and Latex plus, won't stick to metal or chipboard, or any single layer timber.

I think we need to ask Fine Tiling if they require something as sticky as Fastflex, is it worth paying extra in his case? It certainly doesn't sound like he's tiling to metal for sure. And he may not need ultra sound barrier etc.

In which case, perhaps it's fine for him to get the perfectly capably keraquick if that's what it is that's recommended by Mapei.
