Mapei grout

Just having a rant here, used mapei 112 on bathroom walls for the first time in months and I'm just so unimpressed by this grout, 1, it changes consistency throughout the application, 2, it does not want to stick to the walls anywhere near as well as others (bal, webber etc) 3, it's generally a very messy grout to use. I'm going to give the tile master grout a run and see how I get on with it, used it once and was very impressed. Any of you guys have the same issues with mapei?

Found that it's very coarse compared to previous.

Without a doubt I mentioned it few months ago and I think Bri had noticed it as well

Not just me then. What are you using now john for coloured grout?

Never got on with Mapei grout.

Yeah I've never been a fan of it, sets way too fast and it's generally not nice to work with. I do prefer it to micromax 2 though. Grout 3000 is my grout of choice these days, top class product and cheaper than the other 2.

I've been using Atlas for a few years now, only Mapei when customer asked specifically for colour

It's about 40 miles to my nearest, even if I have it delivered, it's still cheaper than the others. I just need to plan ahead a little as it takes a couple of days to arrive.
