do i really need a decoupling membrane if i use flexable adhesive and grout on a underfloor (Wet) heating system? I'm using large limestone slabs and have been told there is a danger of cracking due expansion differentials. Its just the guys who supplied the tiles have given me a massive quote, over twice the nearest other quote. there is about 60m2 the largest area is about 30m2. are thy just covering there ases and selling me another exspensive unnecessary product and making more work for themselves

Highly recommend a decoupler with limestone or travertine on UFH

It may be expensive ' but a cracked floor is one major headache!

Everything I've read on here says yes, you must decouple stone with ufh. And don't forget your expansion joints. Why not get another quote to see how they compare?
