hello everyone want some advice on leveling an old natural stone floor.very rough and some big deviation in stone and joints.pricing up to level 20 metre floor then lay ceramics on top.is feather edge method best idea ,and what is max depth for self leveling compound.if any one knows about this id be greatfull.j

ardex k15 can be used to a thickness of 20 mm. anything deeper and it can be bulked up with limestone chippings . make sure the sandstone is well primed.use spot levels to determine the exact thickness required. good luck with it.

I was at pts on a training course and the weber guys did a demo with a 1 part leveller that could go up to 25mm in one hit and you could mix again to go up to 50mm, it looked did eay to mix and use, but they did know what they were doing, it was in a green bag can't remember the name, might be on there website

niveplus,ill have a look,looked up k 15 and it s expensive £26 a bag trade.hopefully this will be cheaper.j

Ardex k15 is excellent, if you go to a ctd and use trade account it is around £15 a bag, mapie flexi is also very good, though it will only go 10mm in one hit..Mark.
