hello all, I'm laying 600 x 400 limestone tiles in a small downstairs toilet. It's been tiled on to a primed ply floor screwed to floor boards. This is the old stuff that was there from when the floor was tiled before over 20 years ago. The ply seems in good condition I've just added loads more screws just incase.

Just looking for some advice of cutting really? Wet cutter or will my 4 inch makita grinder do the job?

Any do's or dont's would be great full.

Cheers

Grinder will be fine with limestone.
It's messy tho, so best outside.
If the limestone is 20mm and above, you may find it a bit of a struggle getting thro in one go.
Watch for the centre spindle and locking nut doesn't rub along the stone.
It's just extra work.

Because limestone is soft and any lateral movement due to temperature fluctuations in the ply may cause cracking, for the cost of a small downstairs toilet it seems silly not to.
Cheers for the advice. Is there anyone in particular you can recommend please
