It’s for the magnetic clamp

You make a big deal out of that . I've seen it on Bosch lasers but I really don't see it as an issue , i have no problem adjusting the height of my laser in tiny amounts .

I think it’s an excellent feature. I was surprised that the Dewalt doesn’t have something similar. I used to use it a lot on my Bosch

I say tiny amounts, it’s maybe 100mm up and down.

What do you use to adjust yours?

I used to bang a nail/screw in the wall and attach the clamp to it.

I put my laser on a pole and push it up and down with my thumb. I can easily put in a 2mm grout joint between 2 rows of tiles.

Saw the other week someone had screwed a handsaw to a wall and just used the magnetic bracket on the laser...ingenious, I thought so anyway

That’s what I need to get- a pole.

If mine had a decent magnet on the back that is what I would do .
