And I upgraded my security so any more unwanted opening of my van will definitely result in my personal intervention now.

It's the 45 degree bit that's your issue there, a thin shaft like that just can't deal with the lateral force, especially spinning at 10,000 rpm plus.

Ok maybe I’m over estimating the angle but not doing anything different to any other brand I’ve used, never had a failure like this before.
