Just started a ripout on what will hopefully be a stunning wet/bathroom.

Problem started with a leak and ended up with part kitchen ceiling down.

Firstly there was this:-

Travertine fixed to skimmed plasterboard with tubbed addy

And then this, Travertine floor fixed to particle board

Wall tiles came off relatively easily but the floor was a nightmare took 2 of us 3.5 hours to lift, hundreds of screws so the board just ripped into little pieces.

Shame really as they're not cheap.
Was it a rip out because the job had failed or customer wanted new?

Bit of both really, done a lot of work for this customer before, cost is never a problem here though.

Whilst we were there today he had £40k worth of fridge delivered for his new kitchen. His wife doesn't even know he's got them and secondly she doesn't even know that she's getting a new kitchen, approx £100k spend!!!
