Are you adjusting the height of the bar to suit the thickness of the tile you're cutting?

I must admit, I haven’t had a chance to read the instructions that came with the sigma.
I did adjust the height of the bar though as it wasn’t right. Based on what looked correct. I’ve not had any issues with using the sigma though. It’s great so far. Pretty chuffed with the cutter I have to say.

To be honest, I'm not sure if my way is the right way, but I basically lower the bar to a point that when I lift the handle to engage the breaker, it sits about 1mm above the tile.. I check that its 1mm both ends and then that's my height

Been using Premtool again today. It works.
The tool is pretty basic though. It’s essentially a Chinese system. Look at the cost though. Can’t complain

So a biggish order yesterday with Protiler that arrived today...the bosch variable speed grinder, various diamond polishing disks along with a soft pad attachment for grinder, and 2mm premtool levelling system to try out
Just ordered that bosch grinder from them today 🙂
Already have premtool which is great btw!
Let me know how the polishing disks are(my next purchase)

I note you use tile spacers as well as the clips. Does this mean for example you can you a 2mm clip and a 3mm spacer ?
Which ones ? The floor or wall or both? Do you use spacers also

Yes. I use the 1mm clips.
I have a theory that they snap better which I have no proof of whatsoever.

If you use a 1mm clip and a 2or3 mm spacer the theory is you have less chance of the tile chipping when you remove the clips because their is clearance between clip and tile.

That was my theory but untested as I’ve only ever used the smaller clips (1mm or 1.5mm) and added a spacer. Also makes it less of a problem if you have a small amount of adhesive round the clip IMO
I agree, always find it better when I use separate spacers with the leveling clips!
