I am disabled and I want to do a tiling job myself, but it will take me some considerable time (and I mean days!). I am no stranger to DIY projects, but I have never done any tiling. From what I know generally about laying tiles you put on an area of tile adhesive and then add tiles, then grout eventually. I don't know if it's because it's not possible or because most people would do a whole wall in one go anyway that they show a large area being prepped. Would it be possible to tile a piece of wall by adding a couple of tiles a day till it's all done? What if you prepped an area then couldn't tile it, would you then have to chip off a load of dried adhesive to start again? I need to add a few more tiles to my bathroom wall so that I can make my shower more disabled-friendly (i.e. not have an access point up against the loo!) and I can't afford to have anyone do it for me. What is the biggest job that needs doing all at once? Would it just look awful if it were done in pieces like that?
