Honestly m8, i could not belive my eyes, you could have climbed up the tiles or indeed hung your coat on them.

You'd scream if you were the customer and you'd just bought all those tiles and you saw that when the tiler went after day 1.

This is when the customer decided to diy. I did his bathroom, ensuite and kitchen walls, he hadn't enough tiles for the kitchen floor and since it would take a couple of weeks to get the tiles decided not to take up any more of my time, he said he'd give it a go himself.thats a small section, but the whole floor is like that, to make matters worse there's ufh under that.

Jesus christ.... I had a call from a woman in tears not to long ago. Same story, tiler been tiling for donkeys years. I get there and i kid you not, not one grout line was level around the room, wonkey reveals and only 3/4 done. He demanded cash up fron and never came back.

Shocking.

There should be a place you list these tilers where you can check. I suppose that's what the aim for The Tile Association is but it doesn't seem to work.

Yes but who do point the finger at???
I would say the blame should be split equally between the person saying he can set tiles and the customer going for the 'too good to be true' price.
, some people take a chance when the price is 'low'...

Ya gets wot ya pays for🙂

Trevortine, that is totally shocking work bud you are going to have to put correct., I can't believe someone thinks that the work is acceptable and the customer will be happy. Obviously he/she wont last long on reccomendations alone.

Absolutely bang on mate.....

Its all done m8, fortunately the tiles had only been up a couple of days so i was able to save most of them, renewed all the plasterboard and it was donein two days, lucky the other guy had used tub gear. I used ctf3 as they were 60 by 30, aint comin off now!

That's definitely a case of 'monkey see monkey do'.... customers watch watch you're doing and think "I can do that...don't look too difficult" then proceed to screw up the 1st one and go downhill from there....."Tommy walsh has a lot to answer for...." LOL🙂
just kiddin tommy (just incase....you never know)
