Hi everyone,

How do I / or what's the best way to cut a 110mm hole in a tile? - photo attached......

Thank you

While the video above works, ie you get a hole, it's slow and puts a dangerous amount of stress on the blade.
My way (not saying its better or correct) is to cut in at about 45 degrees from inside the circle, multiple plunge cuts until I end up with a rough circle shape.
Then I'll do a cross cut and knock the pieces out.
If appearance isn't important then tidy with nibbles, otherwise gently grinding with the blade to smooth up the hole.
Even in porcelain I reckon I can make a tidy hole in under two minutes and without stressing my blade.
Any other methods out there??

Hex cut-out with angle grinder and pipe collar.
Rotozip if it needs to be super accurate and on show.

Hi Guys,

Thank you very much for your guidance, the job is now done. What I ended up doing is using a grinder to mark out the hole, similar to the video posted above, then cutting a square hole in the middle of the circle about 75mm square extending the cuts to the edge of the circle and used my nibblers to break out the remaining sections..... took about 5 minutes..... great!
Smoothed off cut edge with a rotary file........

Always a first time for everything eh?

Once again, thanks for your help.....
