Hi I have used this tile on several occasions and had no problems. I fix them using flexible adhesive the first time I used BAL fast flex but was a bit expensive so now I use super cover flex. As for epoxy grouting if it was done correctly there should not have been any haze left on the tiles as if you have used epoxy grout you will know it does not polish of the same as normal grout.

Thanks for that. Do you have any comment about using 60x60s on a marine ply wall with cement adhesive?

British standards recommend avoiding tiling on to wood where ever possible and there are plenty of tile baker boards to do the job so marine or not it is unsuitable.

i have never used epoxy grout as an adhesive but i have heard it reccomended for highly vitrified tiles in the past

im not sure if it works or if its one of those urban myths that go round from time to time and somehow end up as fact

Using epoxy grout on granite tiles without being sealed first.....great advice daniel...what about ply in a shower..?.. did he not think of advising on that as well...:mad2:...

Your money and job is in the hands of these comps giving the advice...

A final posting to let all you lovely tilers know the result of all my research and persistence:

I Won!! The suppliers, who were badly advised by their adhesive suppliers and ill-informed about their own product - and who have become thoroughly sick of my detailed letters threatening legal action! - are going to sort out my whole bathroom from square one. New tiles, adhesive (they got it wrong twice), sealant (they thought it wasn't needed - wrong) - in other words, all labour and materials to give me the bathroom I wanted in the first place. Not a penny more from me. Tilers exonerated.

Phew! Quite stressful, even for Feisty Old Bat.

Thanks, all of you. Your info and support has been marvellous, and knowing that I was in touch with this forum really made the suppliers sit up and listen (and the tilers...).

Byeee.
