Forum christmas dinner ????

just thought does Dave/Dan have a christmas dinner or drink for forum members?? to meet up!! near Birmingham i would think so north/south could meet and the scot/irsh/rest could fly to, any thing like this?? or not?? :8::hurray:

it's a great idea, and would be wonderful if everybody did meet up, but usually unless people commit their money to something like this, it ends up falling flat on its face.

I'm definitely up for a night out on the tiles 🙂lol🙂 if everybody else is :hurray:

And there is your problem, everyone wants it on their own doorstep.

They had a meet last year up north but wasnt attended all that well. Shame !

That's why I was so generous :smilewinkgrin: and said York, not Scarborough! The bigger the city the more off-putting the traffic me thinks...

In all fairness, Birmingham is central but i think if a meeting were to be arranged it should be at a central point between the people who were going to actually attend.

Last year it was Newcastle and most people who attended were from the north...not all of them though but mostly i believe.

I've had a better idea - why don't Dan and Dave wear Santa outfits and then do a whistle stop tour of the UK stopping at each members home town (a new town everyday) :lol:

then you can have a couple of drinks and all go home nice and quietly... apart from Dan and Dave who will be properly sloshed after just a few days

As above really, it can be hard getting people to commit to the travel, and if it's drinks too then we really need to organise a hotel or something. We could perhaps attempt to do more regional meets, so we pick a bunch of area's and organise a meal or something in those areas, and for those than want to, a bar or something for later on?


So maybe:-

1. Scotland
2. North East
3. North West
4. Midlands
5. South East
6. South West
7. Wales
8. N. Ireland

Or something?
