Football club nicknames

On site last week was sitting with a couple of brickies at lunch and the conversation turned to the oddest nicknames which led to Ipswich Town being known as The Tractor Boys which led to....If you were a former supporter of Ipswich Town you'd be an 'ex tractor fan'

Might be on old one but I've not heard it.

Hartlepool are known as "monkey hangers" (something to do with some monkeys on a ship and the locals thought they were french spies sent over by napoleon, so they hung'em!)

They've obviously got a sense of humour about it as their mascot is 'Hangus the monkey'
