Whats everybodies preference:

1) Dry lay full floor, do the cuts then fix in one hit
2) Fix as you go along
3) Other

Thanks!

You need to ask for a poll to be added.

Small floors I dry lay, on large areas I cut and fix as I go.

So I guess its both for me.

I can't figure out how to add a poll :mad2: I'll keep working on it or call for back-up 😀

if the room is generally straight forward and nothing worse than an l shape cut then i cut as i go,if it's akwardly shaped i might dry cut or dry cut certain areas:thumbsup:

i lay cuts as i go:thumbsup: altho i just finished a floor in a conservatory where i left l-shaped cuts to later due to rapid setting addy in this heat

Large or small floors I'd set out the same as usual and then cut as I lay. On large floors though I'd perhaps tile most of the full tiles first (I'd do 1 meter wide runs) and then do the cuts after each run. Using rapid set you can often put a little weight on them once you've done a few runs your first run should be okay to lay a board over to kneel on and cut the first row of cuts in. If that makes sense.

I've never laid dry and put them in for the sake of laying them twice.

I dry lay small areas to do the cuts and then lay the lot, its quicker that way

for bigger floors I cut as I go

Small floors dry lay then fix, larger straight forward floors cut and as I go, floors with a good area but awkward cutting tend to lay then do the cuts.

I tend to dry lay a section including cuts, then stick 'em, then keep goind that way to the door. So I voted other:thumbsup:

I dry lay all my bathroom floors with cuts as ilike to do them all in one hit and they are usually small anyway.

Although, as Whitebeam is doing them for me now i think i should have chosen "other"

I voted other 'cos small bathroom floor cutting around bog etc. would be a dry lay, but normal floors will be a cut as I go, and heavy duty stone floors with the effin oven in the way means stick field tiles then do the cuts the next day :mad2:.

Fix and cut as I go. Very small floors, like ensuites, dry lay everything including cuts then stick it all down in one go.
