I have a job coming up soon to tile 40sq mtrs of floor (concrete) but I have to remove the old tiles first. Has anyone ever used any specialist/power tools to do this ? I have seen a tool advertised in HSS with a wide blade fitted to a pneumatic type of drill has anyone ever used one of these.
I have a DIY heavy duty drill will pneumatic hammer action and a 1 inch wide bladed tool. Will this do the job. ??

i got a cheapo drill from argos for 35 notes mate, came with 5 sds attachments, u can get a 4 inch blade from screwfix for under 20 notes, just add the price to the job and hey presto free drill lol

its cheap and hasnt ever let me down, ripped up 60 m2 last week no probs

I got the SDS drill from screw-fix to lift a resterant kitchen floor, went through the tiles like butter. Pop the tiles from one corner if possible and be careful of exploding tiles.

Excellent, thanks very much. This helps a lot as I have an SDS cheapo which is going strong, all I need now is to pop over to the screwfix site and get a 4" thingy..

Thanks for all that, what is the best angle to go at them, steep or shallow.....??

Shallow..that way you don't destroy the sub-floor as well.....you will see as you work the best technique..........good luck...
